About this artwork
This is the last painting this year depicting Physalis. I got it as a gift from my friend Petra. I painted it throughout December. I painted three small paintings. The one you see here is the smallest. It was fun painting these pictures, but now I'm going to do something else.
Physalis is simply beautiful. Admire its cheerful, bright vermilion-colored lanterns. On a dark and gray day, they resemble the sun. That's why I painted them. They bring… a smile to people's faces.
