This painting was inspired by the Grimm brothers' fairy tale of Snow White, but her journey is painted with a modern times' twist. Nowadays, Snow White is not cast away in hostile woods, but lost in a metaphoric jungle. She is given too many options between apples, the fruit all look appetizing and unrealistically colorful, but a lot are GMO, full of pesticides or with added sugar. As she tries to navigate through bar codes to protect her health,…
Snow White realizes that she herself has become a product with a bar code tattoed on her wrist. Does she fit the standards of society's beauty, or will she be discarded like a good that went out of fashion?
