“Sous la Surface I” moves between figuration and abstraction. At its center is a shark, whose form seems to partially dissolve into transparent areas and traces of color. The intense, almost neon-like color palette stands in deliberate contrast to the animal's typically dark and menacing image.
The work explores perception, depth, and what lies hidden beneath a visible surface. The shark appears less as a symbol of danger and more as a floating,… almost surreal presence within an open space of color.
