Behold the whimsical shape of a driftwood root—once part of a mighty tree, torn from its native soil and surrendered to the element of water. A sudden gust of wind ripped you free; your tangled, curly roots clung to the earth’s stones, but the wind prevailed. You became driftwood, roaming rivers in the embrace of those home‑stones until the salt sea’s cruel waves took you in their arms, reshaping and softening your form.
How long… have you wandered unknown shores? Your sharp angles are now smoothed, stray branches broken off—only your core remains. And the stones—ancient witnesses that left their home after millennia—have they awakened? Can you hear them speak? They see—yes, they see. They listen—and they even feel.
