The Portal Tree
An extraordinary tree of a unique shape, standing like a majestic gateway. It rises from the depths of the tropical jungle, where even sunlight struggles to reach. Its massive roots, like the claws of a wild beast, tear into the soil, drawing moisture from the steaming earth. This mature tree, like a sunken ancient ship, is covered in “corals”: flexible lianas coil around its branches, and parasitic plants have claimed its dense… crown. How many birds and insects have made this giant their home?
Harsh natural conditions and the endless struggle for life have transformed an ordinary sprout into a forest colossus. The intricate pattern of its roots forms a mysterious portal that invites us to peer inside. We sense something mystical might happen — perhaps we’ll find ourselves in another realm, a magical world… or perhaps it’s a trap, and the roots of this strange tree will come alive and capture us?
