About this artwork
Growth evolves through layers of muck. Renge 5 explores the path roots follow interrupted by a new dawning, ultimately giving way to the graceful fluidity of the flower, all at the same time, symbolizing cause and effect. The video is a time-lapse display of the digital process. The image was created on her iPad with the ProCreate program, printed with archival inks on Hahnemühle German Etching Paper, and matted and framed under Plexiglas.
