About this artwork
“On the Verge”, is an interpretation of how reality can be perceived through layers of light, space, and form. Viewers are invited to look through the openings, beyond the surface, and explore what lies just out of sight. Light becomes both a guide and a mystery, casting shapes that blur the boundary between the seen and the unseen. A delicate magnolia, within one of these spaces contrasts with the flowing light, symbolizing both fragility and resilience…
as if it has escaped the boundaries around it. I encourage reflection on emerging relationships between form, space and emotions, suggesting new beginnings. Blending natural and constructed elements reveals how light, both physical and symbolic, can uncover hidden beauty. I use soft pastels to remind us to find hope in our quiet moments. The digital paintings I create on my iPad are developed entirely without the use of AI. Every element is achieved thru my hands-on process that reflects my personal vision and intent.
