This is a colourful portrait of a squirrel. This wonderful animal symbolizes a perfect balance between collecting, sharing and taking, between providing for the future and enjoying the moment.
I aimed for a symbolic portrait full of optimism and an encouragement to savour the moment. Contrasts of colour and shape create a happy energy fitting squirrels' movements, which sometimes seem hectic and chaotic but are also productive. The intense colours… I used underline a feeling of joy of life. Despite the contrasts of colour and form the artwork is a harmonious whole.
