About this artwork
Early morning at Tower Bridge, London. The first sunlight and the remaining artificial light bathe the scene in blue, turquoise and yellow colours. The iconic London bridge is portrayed in the artist's unique style. To increase the colours' impact, Beate Blume used extensive forms and strong contrasts. The contours are stylised yet recognisable, simplified geometric forms and repetetive elements create a unique rhythm in this city view. The artist… created a modern, inspiring view of this Medieval architecture landmark of the City.
Each fragmented part of her painting helps create the harmonious meaningful whole. She think this is symbolic of our lives. All of our perception is partial and fragmented but we can still create a meaningful whole.
This painting was awarded a 4th place tie in American Art Awards 2021 (category 27) and an honourable mention from Blue Blood Gallery (Prague).
« I love creating harmonious artworks using the positive energy and joy of intense colors and strong contrasts. »
„My art is a loving wake-up call to the vitality in all of us. Through my colorful palette and harmonious compositions, I want to spread joy and lightness. In a world full of contradictions and tensions, I look for ways to find meaning and growth. My works are intended to inspire you to discover your inner sources of joy and to experience your life as a harmonious unity. As an artist, a teacher and mother of four children, I have combined diverse roles developing different aspects of my personality. My unique art style is characterized by colourful works in which fragments of flat shapes and strong colour contrasts are transformed into harmonious paintings full of aesthetic beauty.“ Beate Blume has received worldwide recognition and numerous international art awards that underline the quality of her artwork. Her works can be found in private collections in Germany, Poland, England, Japan and the Unites States.
