About this artwork
With this figurative bronze resin sculpture I present the very simplified image of a sitting woman, triangular in shape. The body fits into a square block , inspired by Egyptian granite sculptures of scribes . The figure appears completely settled - except for the upward directed angle of the head, at odds with the solid and earth-bound body.

« Beauty to me is simplicity, clarity, concentration and must extend beyond decorative prettiness. Beauty holds contradictions, tensions, and ambivalence, it is a balance kept despite conflict. »
