Lovely antique lacquer boxes - 8 of them - they are decorated in a totally different - some have elaborate locks and others complicated lacquerworks.
These boxes were much in use - some big and others rather small - but always decorative and useful as a storage place and a decoration in their own right.

Berit Bredahl is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Most of the key themes in her compositions are influenced by art from diverse cultures which she encountered during her travels. The intricate and vibrant patterns and textures present in Bredahl's art as undoubtedly influenced by her former career as a fashion and stage costume designer. She creates with acrylics and gold foil on canvas.
