About this artwork
Image "Deep_Mirroring_Forest_014"
Triptych, consisting of 3 individual pictures. 2x outer pictures with each size: 96 x 120 cm, 1x inner picture size: 192 x 120 cm, total size: 384 x 120 cm
The pictures were taken in Estonian national parks in early winter 2023.
The enchanted forest lakes are hidden deep in the forests and can only be reached by hiking for miles. There is no one to be seen, just pure, untouched and quiet nature.
In this series,… several images are combined to achieve a particularly high resolution and create large-format polyptychs
A polyptych is a painting that is divided into several parts or a relief panel made up of more than two elements, which is often found as a devotional or altarpiece.
A multiple picture made up of two parts is a diptych, with three parts it is a triptych like this picture.

Bernhard Lang, photographer and painter, creates fascinating aerial photographs from above. His technique: leaning over the open door of an airplane, he captures the interaction between humans and nature with a medium format camera. His works reveal the painful beauty of this tension.
