About this artwork
In my artwork, I channeled raw emotion through the bold and gestural strokes of charcoal. Embracing expressionism, I sketched with fervent energy, allowing spontaneous contrasts to emerge. To gaze upon it is to feel a whirlwind of sentiments, as if the piece pulsates with life. This drawing promises to infuse any space with a spirited presence, evoking thought and stirring the soul.

« Sand, loam, chalk, a filthy cloud- gray-green not, mirroring in dark water, olive green, high tide, hidden space. »
Bert Wils is a painter and photographer based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. He describes his art as being a response to the world around him. For Wils, his compositions must communicate on a deeper level with viewers, which is why he refers to them as "mirroring". Through which, the viewer is reflected. He most often creates using oils, acrylics, and cotton on canvas.
