About this artwork
I poured my passion into every tiny figure, capturing the delicate dance of life on ice through pen and ink. Each person carries a unique story, their movements telling tales of joy, balance, and connection. This painting radiates vibrant energy and invites you to feel the cool exhilaration of community and motion, bringing a lively and spirited atmosphere to any space it graces.
Frozen Waltz captures the joyful rhythm of people gliding across an… ice rink. Figures in colorful winter clothes move in harmony, their paths forming swirling traces on the white surface. The minimalist composition focuses on motion, light, and connection — a celebration of everyday beauty and human warmth within a shared, fleeting moment.
Bogdan Shiptenko is a contemporary Ukrainian artist born in 1994 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. He works primarily with watercolor, acrylic, and graphic media, focusing on figurative painting and urban themes. He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and has over 15 years of professional artistic practice, with more than 10 years of international sales.
Shiptenko’s work explores the relationship between people and the urban environment — architecture, streets, cafés, and the everyday rhythm of city life. His distinctive style combines expressive watercolor and dynamic multi-figure compositions, capturing both the energy of crowds and moments of quiet solitude.
A central part of his practice is the long-term series People on the White, which reflects on contemporary urban society, human routines and overconsumption set against minimalist white backgrounds. Bogdan Shiptenko has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, his works are held in private collections worldwide.
