About this artwork
These columns from The Mission at San Juan Capistrano show their textural diversity from years of repair and reconstruction. There's still a collective impact from the original stucco surfaces that defined them. Showing them bunched up like this shows the original precision with which they were constructed. An ambient light displays their shadows in the floor where they make for this long patio outside the living spaces. The door… heights into the rooms are especially low by today's standards but considering it's one of the oldest missions in Southern California, it's understandable.
This image will be printed using Archival Inks and Canson Rag Photographique 100% cotton museum grade Fine Art Paper. It offers a unique extra smooth surface with a sensual feel. It also provides one the highest achievable Dmax available, making it ideal for Fine Art images
The final print will have a 3/4" border that will be signed and numbered at the bottom.
