In my work, I combine collage techniques with encaustic and metal to create an abstract composition that holds both mystery and luxury. The spiraling patterns and dynamic texture invite viewers to imagine a world beyond what is seen. The addition of gold creates a sense of value and timeless beauty. This painting speaks to viewers on a deeper, emotional level and brings a transformative energy to any space.

Brigitte Schmitz-Kirschbaum began painting in oils 25 years ago, learning from various art teachers. After initially painting representationally, she later switched to abstract painting and, among other things, refined her palette knife techniques. When her interest in mixed media arose, she acquired knowledge of techniques and materials in various seminars, workshops, and master classes in the USA, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland. Brigitte Schmitz-Kirschbaum draws her inspiration from nature, which continually fascinates her with its variety of colors, shapes, and patterns.
