About this artwork
In this image, I captured the transparency and warmth of a whisky served with ice. The combination of light and reflections creates a calming, almost meditative atmosphere. I wanted to celebrate the transience of a simple moment and preserve it in color and form. This work brings an atmosphere of peace and enjoyment to any room.

Brigitte Siehl, a religious education teacher and pastoral psychologist, has worked as a painter since her retirement. She embraces modern and abstract styles, using techniques such as oil and acrylic on canvas, often enriched with textures of marble dust, sand, and cement. Her works are inspired by travel and cultures; she favors warm earth tones and contrasts them with subdued shades of gray. Siehl's artwork, whether realistic or abstract, radiates curiosity and a desire to discover and explore mysteries.
