About this artwork
In this piece, I've used earth tones and texture to create a depth reminiscent of forgotten landscapes. The combination of acrylic, marble powder, and earth materials makes the surface appear vibrant and tangible. The abstract areas symbolize the ravages of time and transience, which I want to bring into your home – a tranquil yet powerful energy full of history and life.

Brigitte Siehl, a religious education teacher and pastoral psychologist, has worked as a painter since her retirement. She embraces modern and abstract styles, using techniques such as oil and acrylic on canvas, often enriched with textures of marble dust, sand, and cement. Her works are inspired by travel and cultures; she favors warm earth tones and contrasts them with subdued shades of gray. Siehl's artwork, whether realistic or abstract, radiates curiosity and a desire to discover and explore mysteries.
