About this artwork
My intention while creating this piece was to blend influences from both tribal art and modern abstract design. I don’t work from a preconceived notion, I just begin drawing abstract shapes and allow the story to unfold as I move through the process. I have always been drawn to tribal art as well as abstract expressionism. My works are an eclectic mix of many genres, a fusion of color, style and emotions. They are not specific, merely concepts open…
for artistic interpretation.

« Art is the one true universal language that ties us all together. It transcends race, creed, color, or sexual orientation. Let’s be more like art! »
Bruce Rubenstein is an American artist whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States and around the world. He describes his art as a "manifestation of the subconscious". Rubenstein endeavors to create a specific iconography, topography, and language for each of his compositions. As maps to his inner world, his paintings are created in a "stream of consciousness" manner and invite the viewer to discover their own meaning.
