About this artwork
Painting from the vintage POPART series. Painted on 800gsm handmade paper. This painting is part of a set of two compositions created from a pair of XXL boxing gloves dating from the 1930s, acquired from an English antique dealer.
To revive the passion of the battles fought by these athletes of another era. Gloves worn by sweat, tears, or glory!
This artwork brings an intense and vibrant energy, perfect for inspiring strength and determination… in any space.
* Note for enthusiasts: the pair of gloves that served as a model can be offered with any purchase of one of these 2 paintings.

Ink washes, chalks and acrylic paint to achieve optimum brilliance.
Bruno BISI, a painter trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, graduated from the École supérieure Estienne des arts graphiques in Paris. He began his career as an illustrator, color designer, then set designer and finally art director in animated cinema. He has always practiced painting alongside his work but has devoted himself to it entirely for more than ten years. Using colored inks, art chalks and acrylics on very heavyweight raw paper, the paintings are mounted on canvas stretched on a frame. He creates large immersive canvases where nature, plants and everyday objects intertwine in plays of materials and shimmering colors. His style fuses light, contrasts and textures, evoking wonder and contemplation before the elusive richness of the world, imbued with a deep emotional sensitivity.
