About this artwork
Feyssine Sylvania / painting from the Feyssine series. Dominantly cool tones for this canvas where the intention is on an almost abstract but structured nature. The sun's rays seem to filter through the top of the image in a sort of light well. Colored inks, art chalks taken up with acrylic colors to obtain an optimal shine. Heavily textured painting with a final rendering close to embroidered fabric. All the research for the series is carried out… in autumn in the heart of plots of forest left as they are. Magical forests recomposed and "immersed". The viewer, attracted by the shimmering colors, first keeps a distance from this vegetation, both wild and structured, then loses himself in a contemplation as close as possible to this alchemy.
Bruno BISI, a painter trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, graduated from the École supérieure Estienne des arts graphiques in Paris. He began his career as an illustrator, color designer, then set designer and finally art director in animated cinema. He has always practiced painting alongside his work but has devoted himself to it entirely for more than ten years. Using colored inks, art chalks and acrylics on very heavyweight raw paper, the paintings are mounted on canvas stretched on a frame. He creates large immersive canvases where nature, plants and everyday objects intertwine in plays of materials and shimmering colors. His style fuses light, contrasts and textures, evoking wonder and contemplation before the elusive richness of the world, imbued with a deep emotional sensitivity.
