About this artwork
Painting taken from the vintage POPART series. Painting on 800 grs handmade paper. All the research in the series is carried out using recycled objects. Contemporary or vintage objects. Ink wash, chalks melted on the ink and in the fiber then reaffirmation of the colors with acrylic to obtain an optimal shine. It is the chance and the final rendering of this kitchen on damaged paper that I like to observe once the work is finished. The eye is thus… confronted with a set of infinite combinations of nuances. This work is the subject of a particularly careful frame which leaves the paper support "suspended" on a background plexiglass support for a compact and resistant whole.
Bruno BISI, a painter trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, graduated from the École supérieure Estienne des arts graphiques in Paris. He began his career as an illustrator, color designer, then set designer and finally art director in animated cinema. He has always practiced painting alongside his work but has devoted himself to it entirely for more than ten years. Using colored inks, art chalks and acrylics on very heavyweight raw paper, the paintings are mounted on canvas stretched on a frame. He creates large immersive canvases where nature, plants and everyday objects intertwine in plays of materials and shimmering colors. His style fuses light, contrasts and textures, evoking wonder and contemplation before the elusive richness of the world, imbued with a deep emotional sensitivity.
