Large Scale Polaroids
This series was taken of my garden and all the roses I planted last summer. What I noticed was that roses are the most beautiful and delicate and symbolic of most all flowers and they smell heavenly! But while caring for them I noticed that despite their fragile, delicate appearance, they are the most tenacious and resilient and tough flowers of every other flower and plant in my garden. They are survivors! Through all seasons… even the most brutal of winter, they somehow survive and rebloom every summer with such vibrant vitality and robust strength, hence rhe title of the work symbolic of and dedicated to all survivors of traumatic sexual abuse, this series is in appreciation and dedication to the trauma survivors community.
