About this artwork
I first painted this image in 1983. It's one of the most important subjects in my fifty-year career as a painter. It describes how beautiful the world appears when you suddenly emerge from the darkness of space into this point of light, Earth. Undoubtedly a wonderful world. Acrylic on canvas.
