In "Yggdrasil's Head," I explore human nature through an unreal, almost divine countenance. The work connects the figure with the power of the world tree, thus addressing an identity in the "in-between space" between nature and transcendence. The figure remains fixed in its persona and gaze—an expression of the highest concentration beyond perception. Those who, like Yggdrasil, connect everything, require this metaphysical support. I visualize this…
as a process of individuation (Jung), which dissolves the boundary between physical presence and mythological depth.
