Terre en fleur is a 60 × 60 cm work, created in acrylic in a resolutely abstract language.
I worked on a surface animated by slight reliefs, to bring materiality and a tactile presence that accompanies the variations in color.
In creating this painting, I wanted to express something vibrant, lively, and joyful this season. The bold colors and textured areas evoke fields in full bloom, without attempting to represent… flowers figuratively. It's a free interpretation, driven by the energy of the hues and the dynamism of the brushstrokes.
Small touches of gold leaf punctuate the composition. They capture the light and create points of brilliance that reinforce this impression of renewal and openness.
