About this artwork
I envisioned this abstract landscape as a scene in full motion, carried by a strongly textured sea that seems to rise in the wind. The birds taking flight add to this dynamism, like the first signs of an approaching storm.
To accentuate the texture and light, I incorporated small pieces of broken glass and gold leaf. These elements bring brilliance, depth, and subtle iridescent reflections that change depending on the viewing angle.
The painting… is presented in a shadow box frame that I painted in a deep blue, enhanced with an iridescent touch to give it a unique character. This unusual frame showcases the artwork, and its subtle variations can be seen in some photographs.
I created this piece with a free and spontaneous gesture, guided by the desire to convey energy, movement, and breath. The intention is primarily artistic: to bring to life a vibrant, luminous, and dynamic scene.
