About this artwork
In this work, I explored human fluidity and vulnerability through translucent silhouettes that follow one another, delicately painted in watercolor, Indian ink and pencil. Each figure seems imbued with an introspective walk, evoking the continuous journey of the soul and the ephemeral traces we leave. Their journey is a metaphor for resilience and the incessant search for meaning. By welcoming this piece into your home, you invite a poetic and soothing… reflection that will enrich your living space every day.
Caroline Champetier de Ribes is a sculptor and designer. Coming from a family of watercolor architects, she began drawing as a teenager, then a few years later, she began sculpting. She works with different materials: plaster, concrete and earth. She likes the raw and natural aspect of each material, which she wishes to preserve as is. She seeks to show through the very essence of each material, our own essence. This research is also found in his drawings made in ink and watercolor. His works, expressive and evocative, combine the poetry of materials and the echo of tales, revealing a deep and universal inner narration.
