About this artwork
In this work, I explored the interface between our inner world and the outer world, through the subtle use of pastels, watercolor and Indian ink. The character emerges from an ethereal background, capturing a deep introspection. This composition invites reflection on our own existence and the dichotomy between what we dream of and the reality we are in. The delicate balance of colors and shapes brings a contemplative serenity to any space.

Caroline Champetier de Ribes is a sculptor and designer. Coming from a family of watercolor architects, she began drawing as a teenager, then a few years later, she began sculpting. She works with different materials: plaster, concrete and earth. She likes the raw and natural aspect of each material, which she wishes to preserve as is. She seeks to show through the very essence of each material, our own essence.
