About this artwork
This diptych is part of my floral collection. The canvasses are handstretched and ready to be framed or hung as they are. Last year we moved from Hampshire to the beautiful city of Bath. We left behind a garden which we had created from nothing and I decided to remember these hydrangeas by painting them. Hydrangea Paniculata little lime is a hydrangea which as its name suggests begins a gentle white lime colour and then over the Summer gradually…
turns salmon pink. I painted them in situ with the canvasses spread out on the grass - full of colour and mark, my favourite way to paint.
