About this artwork
In this spontaneous work, created in 2020 during lockdown, I returned to the totem, a theme that resonates with me. This work on paper, rendered in ink with dominant yellow, green, and blue, is unusual for me. The lines are both free and controlled. Each superimposed face can be interpreted as the multifaceted nature of humanity, with its questions and cries for help. Treated symbolically, humanity is in constant conflict yet dreams of harmony.
