This work is an allegory of an interconnected world, here between the human body and the coastal ecosystem, between fragility and resilience.
In pencil on a black background, a mangrove tree takes shape from a human tibia and fibula, bones of movement, silent pillars of the human body. Its roots end in crab claws, ancestral guardians of the mangroves, while fish, dragonflies, and flowers inhabit its branches: an entire ecosystem suspended in darkness.…
Inspired by local cultures, this piece celebrates what unseen sustains deep, complex, organic, and essential structures. It reminds us that, fundamentally, the human body and nature speak the same language.
