About this artwork
As a preliminary step, I began by creating a small 5 x 5 cm sketch in graphite pencil, composed of two oblique guidelines and some indications of tonal relationships. The artwork is structured around a broad, oblique band in various shades of reddish-brown. The flat areas of color, highly modulated, were applied with a palette knife, without the use of water. The warm color of the train is enhanced by its contrast with the neutral tones of the sky…
and embankments. In this acrylic painting, I wanted to capture the force of a train in motion, symbolizing the passage of time. The semi-abstract forms and vibrant colors express intense energy and a dynamic of change. This artwork brings a breath of vitality and boldness to your home, awakening a profound emotion linked to travel and a touch of irreverence.
