About this artwork
The wall sculpture consists of a hand-formed aluminum structure with a stable supporting core made of wood and steel. A large part of this aluminum casing and the mirror surface are covered with several layers of iron pigments that have been stimulated to rust. The protruding ribs and ridges are polished to a shine, and the… bare metal shines again. Further oxidation of the iron particles is stopped by multiple sealing processes. The bare aluminum parts are protected by their natural oxidation layer.
The works in this series are completely insensitive to light and can also tolerate high humidity without developing further rust.
The 2.5 kg wall sculpture is signed with the initials cR on the front and marked with further data on the back.

Currently, his original, very material-oriented working method is unfolding again with the "Future Origin" series.
