"Nymphe" explores sensuality in its freest form, liberated from the classical codes of female representation.
I chose aerated concrete for its granular texture, which captures light in a unique way and accentuates the curves of the sculpture. This roughness, far from diminishing the sensuality of the body, reinforces its physical presence.
The deliberately raw drips of pink and white paint convey an inner vision: that of an imaginary waterfall… cascading down the skin of this nymph. They evoke both the movement of water and a form of organic vitality, highlighting volumes, hollows and solids, while situating the figure within a contemporary, almost urban aesthetic.
The nymph here does not hide. She abandons herself to her own body, in a moment of assumed intimacy, where voluptuousness becomes manifest, almost sacred — an offering to the freedom to be and to feel.
