About this artwork
In the "Liquid Dance" series, the element of water and the human figure merge. They become an idiosyncratic whole in which the polarity of nature and human existence appears seductive and powerful. It is the concrete movement of light during viewing that affects these images, just as the physical movement of the viewer itself changes them.
Does the woman go under in 'StrudelBlueFemme' or does she appear? It seduces and lets the water dance, whether… in gentle waves or in violent whirlpools. The violent gesture of the woman dissolves in the metallic surface of the urban facade in the room, a longing for the liquid.

Corinna Rosteck, born in 1968, grew up in Ibiza and in Hameln. She completed her master class studies in Painting and Art Photography at the University of Arts in Berlin, Printmaking Fine Art at the Central St. Martin's College of Fine Art in London and photo media at the International Center of Photography in New York. After spending time in London, Paris, Zaragoza, Muscat (Oman) and Abu Dhabi, the artist now lives and works in Berlin.
