Time leaves its mark. In the earth – and in us.
"Layers of Time" explores what accumulates over time, gets covered over, and yet persists. Earth, ash, marble dust, and oil paint form layers, break open, and reveal underlying structures.
I am fascinated by the parallel between geological sediments and human memory. Experiences, changes, and ruptures are inscribed within us – some remain visible, others disappear beneath new layers.
In "Layers of… Time," the earth therefore becomes not only a material, but also a carrier of memory and time. The work tells of change, transience, and the traces that remain.
