About this artwork
A bronze cast of the bust section of a previous sculpture that the artist had made. The original piece stood 6ft high and was mixed media. The artist felt that for the piece to have the most impact it needed to be cast into bronze. Submerged inside a abundance of shapes and textures, you will find a face. Craig Hudson is an award-winning founder sculptor whose works have been featured on the BBC. Utilizing the themes taken from comics, film, pop art, as well as drawing from personal experience, Hudson conveys both the amusement and the malaise of society in his compositions. His sculptures are a statement of a culture that is obsessed with fame and wealth and of the fallout of great expectations. He is also a bronze caster who follows the creative process from start to finish.
