About this artwork
This painting whispers a serene tale of solitude and wonder, perfect for bringing a peaceful, dreamy energy into any space. My mother use to claim she was a mermaid from Atlantis. 1959-2018 RIP. Without referencing any photos I just painted loosely like the flow of water. I gathered mica flakes from my driveway and layered them with paint for her tail. She hides behind her locks of hair and the depths of the ocean. The epoxy seal gives it the look…

I could let AI write my descriptions, but I refuse. You’re gonna get the real me. I have a dark sense of humor, some would call it morbid, but I have a zest for life. I prefer my home to be dimly lit, but I love when sunlight comes piercing thru the windows, at dawn and dusk. The contrast between dark and light, between day and night. Not looking to make the most profound pieces. I just paint when I feel the urge.
