About this artwork
This work was born from the idea that nothing is truly lost, but that everything undergoes a transformation.
Oxidation, a slow and silent process, becomes a metaphor for a difficult period: time that corrodes, that alters the surface, that modifies the original colors of existence.
As in the historical Renaissance, where after the crisis of the Middle Ages, man rediscovered light, proportion, and centrality, here too transformation is not annihilation… but transition. Oxide is not an end: it is a threshold.
The painting thus becomes a testimony of resilience:
Corrosion is not just loss, but the language of matter that renews itself.
The lettering emerges as light.
The "Я" isn't just the initial of a word, but rather an opening: a symbol that pierces the rust and makes it a space for rebirth. The letter doesn't cover the rust, but rather inhabits it, a clear reference to its roots and origins.
Being reborn does not mean erasing what time has corroded,
but write a new possibility on it.
d-Egon Zuodar is a painter trained at the Brera Academy, deeply rooted in urban graffiti and a practice that ranges from wall to canvas, using spray paint, acrylics, and ink. His technique is based on pictorial layers and a continuous dialogue between figuration and abstraction, blending street instinct with slow pictorial reflection. With his style, he evokes emotions suspended between memory, identity, and rebirth, inviting the viewer to active and in-depth contemplation, never offering definitive answers but rather spaces open to personal inspiration.
