About this artwork
The Oligarch is a pictorial satire. The painting depicts the sinking of Russian oligarchs' superyachts. In the middle of the picture, the artist shows the box from the well-known game "Battleship". Below it sits Russian President Putin, shown with a dark head, alone at a negotiating table. Donald Duck is lying under the table in a mountain of gold coins that has collapsed. Two Russian bears, symbolically colored red, stretch up the walls of this… scenery. In the foreground, the artist shows a swimming pool with sunken yachts and a Donald Duck squeezing a bag of money. The picture is delivered completely framed in a white object frame behind glass 60x60x9cm. It is number 1 of 10 from the LIMITED EDITION series. A fine art print on canvas, signed by hand and refined with real gold leaf by the artist. Each work is unique.
