About this artwork
For the artist, star photographer Helmut Newton is one of the geniuses of the twentieth century. In the middle of the image you can see one of his most famous photos of a female model in a black suit with a cigarette. The smoke rises and is lost in a white chandelier. A Rollei camera symbolically hangs from the ceiling. The painter shows the artist himself by means of a photo in which the photographer can be seen in a white shirt, hat and heels.… The high-heeled shoe serves as an expression of his erotic photography, which made him world famous. The crocodile in the foreground is also a motif he took personally. The painter chose a green bird of paradise as a symbolic animal. Several female portrait photos complement the image composition perfectly. This work belongs to the LIMITED EDITION series. It was created as a fine art print and worked out by hand in gold by the artist. Here you can see EDITION number 1.
