About this artwork
Between Two Worlds is part of the Denim Code series. The painting was originally completed in 2008 and revisited this year, when it was transformed into a new visual language through the introduction of real denim and wire mesh.
This reworking reflects a dialogue between past and present, where earlier structures meet a contemporary approach. The wire mesh suggests boundaries, control, and systems of passage, while denim introduces memory, intimacy,… and human presence.
Through layering and material contrast, the work explores identity as something fluid, shaped over time, redefined through experience, and existing between inner perception and external frameworks.
