‘Silence’ looks upward. It draws on the vastness of the sky; a space that has always carried spiritual weight. The sky holds weather, light, waiting and revelation. It speaks without spoken language.
In this work, silence becomes sacred. Like standing beneath an open sky, there is a sense of being small yet held, exposed yet safe. The restrained gestures and open passages echo moments in scripture where God is not found in noise or spectacle, but… in stillness.
This is a painting about listening with your whole being; about the kind of silence where something eternal can finally be heard.
