About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the vibrant energy of electronic components, symbols of interconnection and movement. Through the balance between abstraction and figuration, my touches of oil and lacquer create a visual rhythm, evoking a vibrant technical symphony. It will bring a dynamic, almost sonic atmosphere to your space, where each element tells a story of harmony and modernity.
Dan Liefooghe, a painter with an atypical background, combines his experience as a violin maker and as an assistant to Marcel Berlanger with a jazz musical practice. He uses oils and old violin varnishes on canvas, exploring abstract figurative as well as realism; his works incorporate food themes or printed circuit patterns and are accompanied by titles with messages. Through an approach inspired by phenomenology, he seeks to convey the subtlety of perception and the poetry of the appearance of phenomena, arousing curiosity and contemplation in the viewer.
