About this artwork
To create this painting, I started with Darwin's portrait, with his theory of evolution as an underlying theme. We know that primate DNA is about 97% different from ours. My idea, starting with the DNA chain, is to play on words: the chain is also the link between humans, humans, and nature. In this painting, I come to the question: what link is humanity missing, since the future of flora and fauna is threatened?
This painting won the bronze medal… at the Salon des Artistes Français in 2024, for my second participation in this show, at the Grand Palais Éphémère, as part of Art Capital.
