About this artwork
Vigny 1, oil and amber on canvas, 46 x 55 cm, June 2026. In preparation for a solo gallery exhibition in the Vexin region of Val d'Oise, France, this small painting represents a working session. It reinforces my approach and the evolution of my style. I feel freer and more spontaneous in my work, while still maintaining a symbolic dimension within this style. Daniel Olivier, a painter and draftsman trained from childhood, excels in the mastery of oil painting, where he experiments with mixtures of rare oils and complex glazes. He blends surrealism, symbolism, and hyperrealism, integrating the harmony of regulating lines and the golden ratio into each composition.
