IX "Whispering Ground"
From the series “Garden of Watching Eyes”
In this piece, I explore a more intimate form of presence — a gaze that is almost completely hidden, quietly observing from within the landscape. The eye is surrounded by dense moss, barely visible, as if the ground itself is holding it.
I was interested in creating a sense of closeness and secrecy. The viewer has to look carefully to notice the eye, which creates a feeling of discovering… something private, almost as if the landscape is whispering rather than revealing.
This work reflects a subtle kind of awareness — one that does not demand attention, but exists softly beneath the surface, waiting to be found.
