About this artwork
La cura is a suspended luminous sculpture that merges materiality, artistic gesture, and social engagement in a powerful and symbolic work.
The central body is a steel sphere, cut freehand and finished with a multicolor ceramic-effect paint on the outside and mirror polishing inside, enhancing depth and reflections.
A silicone gel breast prosthesis is fixed onto the surface with adhesive and stucco, becoming the aesthetic and symbolic core of the… piece. Inside, an oblique lamp holder contains a 10W
cold LED bulb, while a 3.5W recessed spotlight in the ceiling rose highlights the sculpture from above, emphasizing its curves, volumes, and voids.
Suspended by a steel cable, the work balances body and light, exposure and protection.
