About this artwork
In this work I used deep purples and midnight blues flowing like storm clouds across the surface, punctuated by small bursts of orange that glow like embers.
The purple ink has this ethereal, almost smoke-like quality that I find irresistible.
Those fine linear marks cutting through the composition feel like weather patterns or energy fields, giving the piece an atmospheric, almost meteorological presence.
I worked mostly wet-into-wet, letting… the colors bleed and merge naturally, then added sharper accents for contrast.
This captures something more transient and fleeting than my other works - those brief moments when light and atmosphere align before dissolving into something completely different.
